Every timer below is the same clock with a different starting number: it counts down from your device's clock rather than counting ticks, so it stays accurate in a background tab, and the tab title shows the time left. Pick a length, or set your own on the main timer.

Which length should you pick?
If you are timing something with a known duration, pick that. If you are timing your own attention, the lengths that come up most often are 25 minutes for a Pomodoro block, 50 minutes for a longer stretch with a break at the end, and 5 minutes for the short break in between. For a class or a meeting, the usual blocks are 40, 45 and 60 minutes.
None of these need setting up. Open the page and the countdown is already loaded at that length; press the space bar to start it.
The other clocks on this site
A timer counts down to zero. If that is not what you want: the stopwatch counts up from zero, the countdown runs to a date rather than a duration, and the Pomodoro timer alternates work and break blocks for you instead of making you restart a timer each time.
